Today I picked up my new bantam trailer! It is a 46', serial # 3810. I am planning on restoring it and using it with my 47 2A. I will post more pictures tomorrow.
Thanks again Jerry!

Great to see it in more industrious hands than mine! I know it's got a good home!

For some reason I can only post one picture at a time but it works. So today I started wrenching on it a little. I made the landing leg move a little easier and removed all of the bolts in the side pockets.  Did Bantam use bolts in the side pockets to hold the wood in or was this not original?
Good progress for day one!

.

Congratulations  . . these are fun projects.

This past summer I picked up #3122,   so ours were made about the same time.   They are in similar condition.  The tires look very similar also.

Have you seen  http://bantamt3c.com/ ?   . . .  some really good info there.  . .   one thing you will notice is that there are no bolts in the side pockets on photos of other trailers.

Send more photos as you progess!

Thanks! Yes,  http://bantamt3c.com/ is a very good site. Interesting that your trailer was built near the same time as mine. Funny how there in the same shape! I see no other trailers with those holes,  like you said, so there not original. It may be a good idea to use them since it will be going on the road and hitting some bumps.

Made some progress today! Todays afternoon task was to take off the fenders, which I was able to acomplish before dark. The right side fender came off no problem with some PB and a little TLC, but the left side was a different story. Four of the bolts came off easy, and the fifth which required vice grips, eventually came off. The last bolt was a pain, I ended up cutting it off with a grinder. It was amazing to see what the rust did this trailer. The nut and washers were not even recognizable.

Todays workshop! I had to tilt the trailer on its side to grind that one bolt.
