    Posted: 14 May 2008 at 3:21am

So far I've started making front seat covers at this time only.

OD seat COVERS made from real surplus canvas duck. Heavy duty and treated for water resistance.

If two different colors and weight canvas

Lighter color WWII style OD seat covers 4 pieces tops and bottoms, Fitted like the originals with a draw string to use one the original seat pans or just staple them to your 1/2" plywood base.  $90 not including shipping SOLD OUT

Darker color M38 style OD seat covers 4 pieces tops and bottoms, Fitted like the originals with a draw string to use one the original seat pans or just staple them to your 1/2" plywood base. $90 not including shipping  SOLD OUT

These where my test seats just to make sure I still know how to sew after not doing it in 12 years. My finished products will be a little better, I'll adjust the length of the top stitch to match my red covers which I purchased from a major supplier. The finished seats will have OD green thread not the white I used on these.

No foam, No base, No hardware Just seat covers! the better quality foam and the time you spend covering your seats will affect the finished look. I will guarantee the quality of the cover only not the finished look.

Here are some shots, red seats are top of the line from an expensive major supplier and shown only for comparison.

Starting today I'll take the first five orders after those are complete I'll do more depending on time.

had a good question, time frame? about a week maybe two. It's about 3 or 4 weeks quicker than anyone else so I've been told. I was also told I've more irons in the fire than I need, which is also true Wink. I promise I won't start trying to make half tops or anything else till this batch is shipped.

I'm amazed the list filled up so fast, I'm going to start a waiting list. In order from when  received, I'd rather post replies due to the fact my PM box fills up too fast. Once I get close to you I'll send PM's. I only wanted to commit to 5 right now just because, but plan on making lots more.

Thanks guys!

PS I'm only making them for a month or two till I move to Ireland then you S.O.L.

Matt, do you mean our Ireland?

I realise that my shipping will be higher - don't worry!
And what are you going to do about the half cabs you were threatening, if you move?

There is only one Ireland and I don't think my wife would like it if you (brit) call it your Ireland Wink.

It's not an IF I move but IF I get to it before I move. My boys start school Sept. 1st (in Ireland) If I have time for the half tops then great but don't anyone hold their breath.

Being a Welshwoman, I think I am a Brit - just don't call me English!
At least the postage will be less from Ireland!

OK, today I made the pattern for the tops. Here are a few photos of the top cushion.

NOTE -- this is only half done and caused the canvas back to look loose.

Not bad for my first try! The thread isn't exactly OD but it's close and looks good.
They really came out better than I was expecting and are really close to the originals.
