I purchased this at the end of last year. As you can see it is in pretty good condition & has the original wood. My intention is to restore it back to original except I will be pulling it behind my GPW. Therefore it will get NDT tires & will be painted OD. I will post my progress as time permits. My intent is to restore this as close to original as possible with the exception of painting it OD & NDT's. I don't want to modify past that. That way I can sell it to someone with a CJ & they will only have to paint it. Saying that, I also didn't want to change the pintle hitch on my GPW to the ball type. What I came up with allows me to pull the trailer behind my GPW or if need be with the original ball hitch. Here's what I'm using.
