Post your transportation needs in this thread and, perhaps, a forum member can assist.

Well, I'll kick this off then. I need a jeep picked up from mogger7 in Gloucester, VA and brought to Illinois, or some area in between.

If someone is headed that way or coming this way. Let me know. If I don't get a bite, I'll make the trip myself. If it comes to that, I'll be going out there empty so if that happens, I'll let all y'all know.

Some of my most frequent trips are to:
Mechanicsburg, PA
Lebanon, Junctuon, KY
Bolingbrook, IL
Owensville, MO

If anyone needs something hauled between Effingham, IL and these locations, give me a shout. This spring, I will be making st least one trip to Lisbon ME.

If I can, I'll do what I can. I'm at your service.

While I have no immediate plan to make this trip, I need to pick up a family jeep from my childhood in North California.  I am in Arkansas.  At some point, I will be making the drive from Arkansas to California to pick it up so I will be pulling an empty trailer west.  I have no idea when this will occur.

It is a sticky, and it will stay very close to the top, but there is one other sticky.  Which one is at the very top is the one that has been most recently updated with a new post.  None of the normal threads will ever get above the sticky threads.

Edit:  I should add that while I am glad to Have Russ join me on the trip, if there is anyone going to the CFCT who is closer to Russ than DC, speak up since it would be less of a drive for Russ.

I'm located an hour SE of Pittsburgh, PA - exit nuimber 110 on the PA turnpike.
We live about two miles from the pike entrance, but out in the country on a big
ole family farm.
Over the years, we've worked with old car folks moving things back and forth
across the country so if we can help on the Jeep front would be happy to try
and do so.... i.e. perhaps someone is passing this way, but not going ALL the Way
to where ever. If something needed to "rest" here for a bit until the next person
could swing by and take it on its next leg of its journey be glad to help out...

Just a thought that might help! If we all work together, just think of all the good stuff
we can move around the country!

btw, Jpet has been here twice for two quick visits so he does know his way this way!

Going form Springfield Mo to Harrisburg PA area the first weekend of June. I'll be going interstate mostly( I44,70,76) but a short detour wouldn't be out of the question. I'll have a mostly empty pickup bed if anyone needs parts moved along the route PM me and we'll make arrangments.

I drive from Los Angeles California to central Louisiana and back every year for Christmas.

I take the I-10, going through Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.  In Texas, I could take the 20 if someone needs something up that way. 10 or 20 isn't really a big time/distance difference, I've tried it both ways.

I don't have a trailer, but I could haul something up to as big as an engine in the back of my TJ.  I'm usually not pressed for time, so I could go a little bit out of my way, if lunch is provided  Wink

I'm going to bring GW and my CJ5 to the Fall reunion. I will have to leave the CJ5 at Aricks house when we load Lumpy. If there is someone coming to the reunion who would like to make an extra week of it, they can drive the CJ5 to Colorado and back. I could bring the '44 MB, but, of course, that one would need to be trailered there and back. I'm not ready to leave one just yet.

I know this is probably a long shot, but I thought I'd post here before I contact the auto transporters. I'm looking to get a jeep moved from N/E Tennessee (I81, exit 50) to Las Vegas. Could possibly even be dropped off in Flagstaff. It's my '76 CJ-7 that I'm sending to a buddy of mine. Time is not critical, as long as I get 'er shipped within the next couple of months. Willing to pay appropriate transportation costs. PM me if there are any possibilities.....

Thank you gentlemen!

Around the second week of June, I will be driving from Pensacola, FL to Chesapeake, VA, along the I-85 route on Google maps, with an empty truck and trailer (pictured below). If someone needs something hauled I would be more than willing to help out at a very reasonable rate. Can hold Jeeps, small tractors, cars and up to regular cab full-size trucks. I'd be willing to go in a 30 mile radius off the interstate. If interested PM and we can set up a phone call to go over the specifics and price.

Hoping to need some help moving a non running 1948 CJ2A "LEFTY" carcass that is near Carbondale, PA. to Lake George, NY? It has been out in a field for quite some time but will be moved to a repair shop garage for easer pick up. I have a friend in Rio, NY that may be willing store it for a bit if that is a more realistic solution for right now?
Unfortunately I have lost my tow vehicle and need some help recovering this rusty little jewel. This LEFTY is a bit of a mess and it will need to be winched aboard a trailer. I am hopping to rescue this rig to get parts of it back into the flow for the 2A collectors out there.

Thanks,
PGR

Does he have a cell phone? If so the easiest and quickest would be for himto take some good close well lit pics with it and either send them directly to your cell phone or to your email or to his face book page where you could go and have a look at it. Just thinking out loud here.

Jim,

I am in the NW corner of Arkansas, 45 minutes south of Joplin, MO.  The jeep can camp here if that helps in anyway.

I am in need some help moving a non running 1948 CJ2A "LEFTY" carcass that is near Carbondale, PA. to Lake George, NY? It has been out in a field for quite some time and has been moved to a repair shop garage for easier pick up. This 2A rolls and steers, but it will need to be winched aboard a trailer or roll back. I am will pay all reasonable transport costs.

Ralf, recently I shipped a T-90 transmission from Fastenal- Beckley to a Fastenal-somewhere in OK. I think the price was around $100.00. You might want to check this out, we now know the trucks go between the two. I have contact info if you want.

Anyone have a suggestion on moving a 8N Ford tractor from West Springfield Mass. to Lake George, NY in the next few weeks?
The tractor has a bucket loader and rear grading plow, as well as a brush hog and york rake.
The transportation I was counting on now has a broken trailer so I need an alternate.

After being sufficiently shamed by having the only non-running CJ-2 at the Hudson show, I have located a correct engine in central Washington.  I need to have a MB engine moved from Washington state to Maryland.

There are some nice 2A tubs out west.  One in San Diego the other in Oregon.  A tub only will fit in a pickup truck on its side.  If it could find a rest stop somewhere on East coast (PA, NY, NJ, Maryland) I could pick up.  Long shot I know but I could offset alot of gas expense if someone where making the trip anyways.
Regardless, this topic is a great idea.  I will try to look in from time to time and especially before my trips.

Hey folks,

Just putting this out there to see if there is any interest. I'd like to get my jeep moved from Hopkins MN to Bozeman MT sometime near the end of April. Both cities are close to HWY 94 / 90.  I would prefer closed transport but the top could be taken off and stowed for possible open trailer.

Let me know if you are interested in taking on the job. Jeep runs and drives and is slightly longer than stock with a spare on the back and a winch on the front.

Thanks!

Just putting this out there, before i make plans for an upcoming trip....

I am in need of assistance in moving an 8' chevrolet truck bed from the Eaton Colorado (north of Denver), eastward towards ohio.

If anyone in the area is coming east to the Effingham IL spring show, i can plan to pick up there.

Otherwise, sometime in the near future, I will make the trip westward with an empty 25' gooseneck trailer that i could assist with moving items westward....

feel free to text or call me if either of these options fit your needs.. 740-572-7037

thx, low

If you are driving from your home (Ohio?) Is there any chance you could haul my jeep? I'm guessing that you would be taking a more southerly route twords Colorado. That is of course if Jpet doesn't move the truck bed for you.

For any Canadians out there looking for transport across Canada, I have a friend who will ship a jeep and trailer inside a semi trailer at a really cheap rate. I recall I paid $1000 for the jeep, trailer and three trials on pallets.   I just used him to ship a GPW engine, tranny and TC for $250, which I feel is pretty cheap. PM me for details.
