I have the two types here.
The first is from the column shift. There are no parts #'s that I can see from the '45 parts list.???anyone?

This pic is the column shift cover next to the cane shift cover that was used for the next many years. In the '49 parts list it has some #'s that may be these covers..
#667746 Pan and Floor Plates, Front Floor, Assembly (up to Ser. No. 38221.
#663783 Pan, Front Floor, Assembly (after Ser. No. 38221)

Notice how the column shift cover is shorter than the cane shift. This is the problem I had with the front replacement floor...

That is very interesting...Gary, not only is the hole in the tub for the steering column different to accomodate the shift linkage but the trans hole too. Really did not think about it.
This information is equaly important for tub data.
Found all my parts books the other day. I will take a look for the number as well.

Gary:

#663141 - Plate, transmission floor cover

Now it gets interesting.  In the '47 manual, it shows this plate being superceeded by #663789 (the floor shift plate) w/the addition of  #667747, a "cover" for the shifter hole!

Seeing as how they're different lengths, I guess an owner who needed to replace it for some reason, would have to drill new holes!
