Hi.  Following this thread and curious how the welting has worked out, where you bought it, pictures, etc.  Thanks.  P.S.  You are doing a great job!

I have been a little busy, but making steady progress. Just received my shipment from Walcks for the welting some gauges to convert to 12v and a few misc parts. I will be installing the welting and will finalize the dash wiring with the fuel and amp gauges this weekend and will snap pics of progress.  Need to send the radiator out for cleaning and pressure testing and should get the speedo back after cleaning and calibrating. I think I'm getting close to start up.

Installed fan belt splash shield, heat shield for brake system and support bracket for pedal assy.
Noticed I was missing the zerk fitting for the pedal assy when I snapped this photo!

Installed the radiator shield (Thanks swmoboy) over the Ft cross member and another view of the fan belt splash shield. Thanks for the replies in the tech section so I place it on the car

 Radiator seals installed

Still waiting on the speedo to be finished, shop said it should be ready in a couple of days. The rest of the gages are wired in, installed the e-brake, dash lite and Hi beam lite. Anybody know what type of heads are on the screws that hold down the rings for the shift boots??? I keep thinking I'm close to start up, but the to do list never seems to end. A guy was walking by while I was working in the driveway and commented that working on a Jeep is a cool way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

Picked up speedo today and it looks great. They cleaned, calibrated, rebushed and installed new glass. They were unable to renumber the odo wheels( odo wheels are smaller than the decals available) but more than adequate for my project

So I guess i was being optimistic back in Feb that I was close to start up.The more I accomplish, the more my punch list grows. This is probably due to the fact I started this 20 yrs ago and have forgotten placement and routing of parts( It helps to have this site to ask questions. Lots of knowledge here. )
Installed the pedal draft kits and return springs. My pedals look smaller and do not have a lip on them like others I have seen. Cut down for some reason, measure approx 3.5 inches on face.

I Cleaned and installed data plates that came with the jeep. The body plate had been sanded and painted when I received the Jeep. I used scotch bright pad on it to minimize sanding marks and cleared it. Other plates I polished as best as possible. Need to install chassis tag, but would like to use original type fasteners. I'm looking into that. Frame shop removed it in order to make repairs on frame horns.

I Installed various cables, carb and linkage, fuel lines, fan and brackets for the air cleaner.

As always, top notch work.  I hope to get back on mine very soon.  Been busier than a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.  I've got a small pile of parts to get to work on and a have a brand new role of Gorilla Duck Tape, a handful of coat hangers and my heavy hammer ready to go.

So I thought I was finished with my drive line work, but was wrong. On my initial drive  every time I would slow down I would hear a small amount of gear clash and could feel it in the stick. I pulled the trans and the transfer case apart again. What I found was some time in the past rebuild, the syncro hub and 2nd gear was shimmed to compensate for the wear on the hub. One shim that was .070" thick was installed behind 2nd gear. Not knowing the intricacies of a t90 it looked like it belonged, so now all gears, shafts, brgs, hub, slider and syncros are new. Sourced NOS parts through mullins jeep parts on ebay and master kits from Novak.  One question I have to anybody that knows these gear boxes is the  2nd/3rd syncro hub a common wear item where shims would be needed to take up slop or any tips or measures to be aware of beyond what Novak supplies? Photo of some of the new parts.
Phil

New part on right below. This hub below on left is the worn part.

So I reached a major milestone today, went down to the local DMV office today for a duplicate pink and registration. First time the car has been registered since the 70's. Since the jeep had fallen off the rolls, I had to have the vin verified. Within 1 hour I went from zero paper work (lost pink on last move) to being inspected, registered and back on the rolls in my name with pink in the mail !!!!!!!!!! Not very often do the car Gods smile upon you.
With registration in hand, I was able to put some miles on her locally and am very pleased with how the car drove. Good power, smooth crisp trans, no noises and nice braking. A few more tweeks, brake lite and windshield and I will be ready to put her through her paces with some extended road tests and then a trip to the local desert. I'm a happy camper tonite. Big smile
