We're still looking to find a replacement block for our 47 CJ2A. If you have a block that is crack free and has no more than .040" over pistons, please contact me. Thanks.

I have a crack free block, head, and crank all machined and ready to go.
The one downside is the block needs line bored because it doesn’t have the original main caps. I do have 3-4 sets that can go with it.

Thank you everyone for replying to my call for a replacement block. The owner of the machine shop who worked on our ill fated 134 block called in a favor from a friend who's got a couple CJ2s and has a bunch of parts. We got a nice non-cracked block with .020 over pistons so after he B & H the cylinders, it was a perfect .040 over which was all we could expect from a 73 year old block. It's in between the fenders now and after some TLC on the carb by scout pilot, the Jeep is up and running fine and in the garage waiting out the winter. We have 9" of fresh snow today (April 16) and it's still coming down. I love Springtime in the Rockies!!
