This is long video but it’s all pretty technical stuff. We spent the day in red and black trails. I’m the description, I list the time segments where some of the names obstacles start. Here is a very cool pic on Andy on the ridiculous right line of Trail 5 Hill:

The picnic was awesome! Hung out with old friends Wheelie and Geoffrey L. Met Geoffrey's dad and introduced myself to Jpet and Jeep Fever as they were loading up. Great guys spared a few minutes to chat. Found a few unobtainium small parts. Good show, great location. See everyone soon!

Great time and a great show this year. Weather was perfect as was the company of friends. Flea market was full of parts, although I had little removed from my space this year. But the camaraderie of the friends I've made over the years more than makes up for a slow day behind my table. Lots of nice jeeps helps too.
Thanks to all who have a part in putting this show together. There are many spokes in this wheel and each is appreciated.

What a wonderful weekend!! I will post more later, but thought I would share a few "fun" photos now.
The first two photos illustrate what can happen to your Jeep, when you try to follow BamBam thru Rausch Creek. Below is photo of Wilson's taillight lens, after a fairly big drop off of rock. The taillight must have hit the rock, and this piece was sent backwards. Wilson's front license plate . . (I won't be so lazy next time, and will remove it before wheeling some semi-serious rocks). Thankfully, nobody in our group ended up like this. |

Great Day, Great Turnout, Great Friends. Great Time at "The Great WILLYS Picnic" once again! The 20th "Great WILLYS Picnic" was super success this year. Thanks to the Windyhill Gang and the Westerman Gang & everyone involved. No surprise as these folks know how to welcome you into the fold and make you feel like family. Thanks so much for all your efforts and making this a WILLYS memory we will never forget.
You folks rock! |

Safe and sound back at home, what a great trip! Hol and I have made a point to make the picnic a mini PA vacation for several years now. Spent the front half of Saturday just tooling around the PA countryside in the 2A, FANTASTIC weather, lots of "to see" was seen... Saturday afternoon was meeting and catching up with the rest of the ECWA contingent, and a great meal that night.
Sunday morning hopped in the 2A and burbled the 16 miles over to Kempton through pastures and rolling corn fields, again- awesome weather.... life is good An obvious thank you to the crew that makes it happen. Seth thanks everyone for coming out, noting without us coming it doesn't happen. I'd offer that the reverse is more on point... "If you build it they will come" ... so thank you again to all that "build it"- It was great to see familiar faces again, it's always fun to put a new face and a handshake together with a screen name, and I continue to be humbled by how readily the Willys crowd will accept you if you'll only let them. Great weather, great crowd, great friends, awesome Willys of all shapes, sizes and interpretations...Great trip

On an ice cream run the evening before the picnic. We had a little fuel issue on the way back. Never leave home without a tow strap.
I am sure there will be some much better ones coming, but here are a couple I snapped. That black spec in the sky is Jpet's drone. |

What a fantastic weekend! The mostly official total was 84! Thanks everyone for coming out and making it the best Picnic ever!
Saturday night was a blast as well! Lots of fun visiting old friends and getting to know new ones in the shop, Strawberry rhubarb pie, and ice cream run....We even got a CJ3A running again that has had sat for 4 years and it drove to the show under it's own power! And I managed to get my hay in as well before it rained Sunday night! Thanks to all who contributed!!

The 20th Annual Willys Picnic was a huge success. The weather was perfect, so the Jeeps came out! There were 84 vintage Jeeps registered and a few more that that somehow missed the sign in. Every year more and more later Jeeps come out to the show and line up in the adjacent field. Overall there had to be over a hundred Jeeps here. And then there was the swap meet area. I've never seen so many vintage Willys parts for sale in one place! Thanks to Seth and the Windyhill crew for putting on an incredible show. It couldn't be done without them. I hope everyone had a chance to ride the train, visit the gift shop and eat at the food stand. The Wanamaker, Kempton & Southern Railroad is by far the best venue we have ever had for the Willys Picnic and they appreciate the support. We gave away a ton of door prizes and raffles. Please support and thank the sponsors. Quadratec, Walcks 4WD, JB Stoltzfus, East Coast Willys and Larry "rocketeer" Long. |
