I suspect there won't be much activity here on the pages today...all you married folks out getting your sweetie that perfect gift to show how much you care.  I'm not in that position, so I just had to get something that said I was thinking of her, so I got her a new belt and bag...and told her I would install them if it would help the vaccuum work better! LOL  Don't forget your sweetheart today!

It's a miracle if Terry and I remember to do anything!
The year(!) we went out for a meal it was so awful ... we've not done it since!

I got my wife a whole house vac system put in, one year, for Valentine's Day.
The guy put it in one day!
I thought it was a...thoughtful...gift. (Hey, she got flowers, too!)
The..."thoughtfulness"...of that gift was not shared by all that year... LOL

That's my problem with it.....It is a one sided "holiday" perpetuated by Hallmark and the other commercial money makers.......in short, it is a woman's holiday pure and simple.

If you are doing it right the other 364 days of the year why do you need one day set aside to 'prove your case' ?

That's very true Ed....not trying to say you shouldn't do special things.  What if you had given her that rose and a card last Monday, Feb. 7th.......wouldn't you have gotten that same smile, or not? Embarrassed

My wife said that a gal at work got a diamond necklace because she crabed a lot to her husband so he would shut her up.  Her own words.
