Motel reservation made, map printed, Commander fueled up. I will bring a few smaller items, plus a hard to buy piece or two. I hope to make a Monday morning side trip to Walcks while I am in the area.

If anyone has a decent drawbar for mid CJ2A, can be minus the crossmember braces, I'm trying to help Carter in FL get one.

Monday Walcks run sounds fun, I think Nate will be around still, and I can probably fit it in, heck we could take the Jeeps.   I may have a draw bar as well.

I was actually thinking of trying to fit in a stop to visit Carl and company on Saturday
on my way down to the picnic site, but I'm told he closes at noon...sigh... can't blame
him for wanting Sat. time off, but I wish for this Pre-Willys Picnic at least someone
would stick around and man the shop a bit later. I'm guessing they might see more than
a couple Jeepers stop by and make some good sales!

Oh well, I'll get there someday I'm sure.... at least I just have to go across the state of PA!

Dave - maybe Carl would be willing to accomodate special Sat. afternoon hours.
Give him a call - and let all know if he is willing to do it.
I won't get to the area until late Sat. nite, so that's why I was planning the Monday visit.

Seth - let me know if you have a decent drawbar.

Hope to bring along some DVD copies of original 1954 Willys Overland Factory
movie filled with plenty of Jeeps in action. Movie has sound and is great fun and
informative too. I bought the original film in the cannister and decided to pay to
have it transferred over to newer format so I could share it with others. It was
a bit of an expensive undertaking buy I decided it just was not the sort of thing
we get to see much of....

Probably not enough time to round up too much more, but will take a look and may
be able to bring some extra ads and owners manuals too.

yes, everyone who has seen it wants a copy to be honest...
if I can make it down to your place for Saturday evening maybe you can
play it on something so those on hand can see it...

Just thinking of some of the things here that I need to find a new home for
and one that comes to mind is a Shaver Hydraulic Post Pounder/Driver. It
mounts on a three point hitch and is considered to be pretty much the cadillac
of the industry. They are heavy duty and well built to say the least. I wouldn't
just haul it down to the picnic for the heck of it, but if someone on the chat
has a use for such a critter I'd consider bringing it along that far to hand it off
to them (slide it from one pickup bed to another perhaps or ?).
I'm guessing it could be hooked up and used on a Jeep three point hitch just
like a tractor so long as one had a hydraulic pump being driven too to make it work.

Just thought I'd toss this out in case someone had that on their list of "things I
really need or want to find!"
