Hello fellas, My name is Rick, I live in Oregon. I have a few jeeps, mostly MB's and GPW's. I also have 3 of these old column shift 2A's. I have a 1945 2A #10696, body gusset # 965 with matching tailgate #. I also have 2 column shift 46's. I think I am more interested in these early 2A's than I am in my military jeeps, because of the rarity of these column shifts, especially the 45 2A's.....Rick

I signed on the 2APage using my internet provider email address, but I can send pictures with my other email address which is AOL. If  I could send some picts. to one of you guys, then maybe you could post them for me. I'm not to savvy with these computers. My 45 is pretty complete, except that it has a gpw #128716 motor. I have CJ2A motor #42xxx which has the chain driven timing gear. That is what I am going to put in it. My 46 #21452 is almost 99% original, right down to the 5 solid 4.5 rims and a factory counterweight. My other 2A #22732 needs some TLC......Rick

Rick, nice looking '45, you don't see many in that good of shape. You definitely need to figure out how to post more pics, You can't just throw a juicy bone out like that, like a Lays potato chip gotta have more than one.

Thanks for posting the picture Ritt..And thanks to Sean too, for posting picts.

Boy, I sure have a nice little 52 3A that I bought last year.  The odometer has 28,000 which I believe to be actual mileage.

Hey 47 Willys, I will post a picture of my 3A as soon as I figure out how to post on the 2A Page, right now I have to rely on one of you "Flat Fender Fellas" to send a picture thru an email. I'll figure it out one of these days. Hey, I drove a 47 Willys in high school-"76 and 77". It had a hand operated windshield wiper, Halfcab, had a heater in it but I think all it blew was cold air. That sure looks like a nice 47 you have there!

Rick,

Just send your pics, as many as you want, anytime. I'll recognize the name.

I'm here during the week but up on the mountain weekends.

Hi Rick , my 45 has no serail number . the tag is gone the body number is 732.  The engine number under the oil filter is cj2a 11130  Casting number is 638632 Head casting number is 640161.  The tranny has the side shift ports on it with the date of 7 18 45.  It has a Pto on it. Bubba has changed it to a floor shift. I can still see the marks on the Steering column where the clamps were for the shifter. Looking for a frame for a column shift so I can get started on it To many holes to repair on this one.  I was told that there was a difference. The way the steering mounts?  Thanks for asking ..........Dean
