Welcome,
Your first task will be to determine the Jeeps specific niche or intended useage. Then you need envision the Jeep as a complete and synchronous system of component assemblies. The Jeep model selection yields the greatest influence on the end result. Engine selection has the next greatest influence on the build. So you must be positive that the Ford 302 V8 is the proper choice for your intended use. From that point the remainder of drivetrain must be synchronous for the build to be a true success. Envision everything for compatibility then it becomes a matter of building the proper assemblies and determining optimum fitment within the the confines of the selected Jeep model. I might add that what you are suggesting may be identified as but technically it is no longer a Jeep. With the addition of the Ford engine it becomes a Trans-Make or more specifically Trans-Manufacturer build. Edited by oldtime - 29 May 2021 at 12:11pm |
