Here's an update on the Mason-Dixon Willys Jeep Gathering!
Kountry Kafe & Katering will be there with their pit-beef set up, so bring your Willys and bring your appetite!
There will be a Best of Class Trophy in each of these categories:
1.) Military Jeep (GPW's included)
2.) Civilian Jeep (2A's, 3A's, 3B's)
3.) Willys "Non-Jeep" (Jeepster, P/up, Sedan Delivery, etc.)
These are beautiful trophies on custom slabs of marble! No cheap plastic bases.
Trophies sponsored by www.jeepchasm.com
Please, send a courtesy e-mail if you plan on attending!

Nope, no swap meet... but this will be a good way to connect with other folks who may have the part you need or need the part you have!
Just got confirmation this morning that one of the 4x4 Magazines is sending a photographer to cover this event!

Hello folks! Only a week away! SO, who is planning on attending other than samcj2A, Mike Gardner, and I?
Stick you gonna make the trip?
I'm really looking forward to meeting other people from this forum (Obviously, we all get to meet Mike H. )!
samcj2a which Jeep are you bringing? We could use your Jeep for a meeting point after it starts in the morning, say at 10:30AM, if that suits you?
Be well,

1 Week away folks!
Based on the response I'm getting in e-mails and on 19 different websites, we should have a good turnout! I think the Military folks are going to blow away us folks with CJ's... even have 2 Canadian Military Jeeps coming. We need to have a good turnout from the Civilain Jeep crowd, unless we want to turn this into a MVPA event next year! LOLOL (no offense intended to you Military guys... just trying to talk it up!)
For you out of town folks looking for a reasonable place to stay, I am referring folks to The Boston Inn in Westminster, MD (410-848-9095) They are located on MD Route 140 (Baltimore Blvd.) and are near numerous restaurants and shopping.
Send me an e-mail if you have any questions...
Cheers!
Mike

Bring your family and friends!
The Historic Union Mills Homestead, rich in Civil War history, will be open for tours. The restored Grist Mill will be open and possibly the blacksmith's shop too! This is really a scenic site that will have something of interest for everyone! There will be some great photo-ops for your Jeeps near the mill's water wheel. The photographer covering this event for the 4x4 magazine has been there before and is looking forward to taking pics of classic Jeeps for his story!

Just got a call from the local newspaper. They are sending a reporter and photographer out around noon. I sure hope there are plenty of Flatties there for all of the photographers! Current forecast for Sunday at Union Mills is sunny and in the mid 60's! |
