How about an East Coast Fall colors tour next year in Tennesee at  the Windrock OHV park? I was thinking in the last half of the month. Here is a link to the park. tons of youtube videos avail search windrock or coal creek ohv area

With 72K acres and over 300 miles of trails we could plan something for next year.

Hmmmm, interesting. Might be possible for me.

Have been wanting to see the place and I have relatives in the area.

I'd be interested in that. It would be a few hundred miles closer for me.

Definately interested, been curious about that area for a while. Not too far from home and some of the locals go down and ride UTVs and 4 wheelers there. Have NOT done my homework yet, are rollbars, seatbelts etc. required?

Looking into downloading this for my GPS, that way it will be easier to return to camp at the end of the day

Interested . .  if this happens, I would try to make it.  (even though I have no doors or heater)

Would we have to plan on camping,  or is there more wimpy lodging nearby?

I’m not suggesting that you skip fall 2019. I’m just saying, I usually go to Badlands this time of year but Windrock is 6 hrs away and doable. I’d probably get a nearby hotel Friday night and head home Saturday after we are finished.

I’m not sure if this is a hijack or not. Let me know jeeper50. If so, I will move it to a new thread.

I will tentatively plan to attend,  but there are a couple issues that might override Jeepin' that weekend.  . . .  Most important of which ->  the arrival of our 2nd grandchild,  predicted one week before this date.

I just got my January 2019 JP magazine and this park is featured in this issue.  I’d love to go and do this park, but I can’t really make it this December.  It’s too far for me to only wheel one day.  Plus, it has 73,000 acres and over 300 miles of trails!  Maybe I could think about it for 2019. When is peak foliage time in Tennessee?
