Does anyone remember the reunion in WI years ago?  Believe it was at a casino (Ho Chunk)?  What year was that?

Yeah we were at the ole Ho Chunk......that was 2005.

Congratulations Tom!

Muley.

I doubt I'll have it by then, Muley.  But maybe by the FCT.  The swap may snowball as now I am thinking it would be a good time to paint the tub with the engine out.  We'll see...I will let you drive it though!

Hey Lee - back to the FC topic...does a guy have to be careful about putting the brakes on too hard in one of those rigs?  It looks like you could go kind of ass-over-teakettle if in a hurry to stop.

Great video, it sure looks like a lot of fun. For the benefit of us new guys, would you put names and jeeps together?

Hey Rick,  Well you can bet I'll be holding on to it until I know for certain the new one will love it's new home in my 3A.  I have no doubt that it will be awesome, but we both know I'd be a fool to let my engine go too soon!Wink
I'm sure it will be perfect!  I have no worries at all - knowing the guys that built it.  No worries at all!

Congrats Tom! What a great prize. So, who is bringing your engine to you?

Jpet, great video. Looks like the locker boys were winning. I'm surprised the WW2 Jeep didn't put his chains on. (Unless all it would do is dig it down to the axles. ) What a slimey place. Winching was cool. Snatch blocks and all. Wink Oilly

If I had known what we were going to be into, I would have put all 4 chains on the MB.  As it was, I only had two with me.
As the only Willys there with all open diffs, I was really outclassed, I can tell you that.
That MB was stuck more on that day than it has been in the last 20 years, and that's the truth.
Really slick, with several hours of steady rain the night before.
Still, it was a great time and I enjoyed it. Met some good folks, too.
Many thanks to Bob for providing a place to go!
Also had a great time as a first timer at the reunion, even if I did have to leave pretty early on Saturday.

Great video, Jeff, thanks!   The group included jpet and BamBam with summer top; mbjeeper (Greg) with the 30 cal.; BobW with the prototype; STEV (Bob and Markus) in the Pasture Green and I was in the grey 2A/3A.
I've been wheeling down there for 20 years and that's the greasiest I can remember. So don't let the video scare anyone away from coming down next year.

Loved the video. With all that old green in the group it made me think about the GIs trying to coax there 1/4 ton trucks through the forests of Europe. Probably not as much fun as you lot were having.
Sure is different than Moab wheeling.
Bam Bam would not be denied on that off camber ditch climb. Nice work.

Stan, I agree with you 100%.  It was really awe inspiring to think that those are REAL MBs and may very well have been in some Belgium forest in 1944 or 45.  We said that a number of times that this is what they would have been doing to get their Jeeps through.
And Stev, I'll also agree with you that it was best Reunion for me too.  The offroad part was especially nice, as everyone pulled together, knew what they were doing and there was absolutely no bitchin'.
The venue worked well, the picnic was cool.
Can't wait for next year.
