IMPORTANT CORRECTION - the phone number for the host hotel, where it appears on the WEBSITE - where you are directed to in the Flyer - the Bertram Inn - has a typo.
The number to call for Reservations is: 330-995-0200 Edited by Vintage Don - 31 Jan. 2022 at 3:57pm |

Let me say that better. It was an error / typo on the phone number that appears on the Website - which that flyer directs you to go to the website - where you would get the phone number to make a reservation at the Bertram Inn. The phone number which appears on that physical, paper flyer is actually CORRECT. It's only if you go to register on the website where it was NOT correct. Sorry.

No matter how many eyes review this we always find mistakes.

Art - please check again, it's not just the Area Code. The next 3 digits are supposed to be "995" (not 955). Edited by Vintage Don - 31 Jan. 2022 at 8:09pm |

It's almost that time again!!! Ron (Jeep Fever) negotiating the rock playground at Southington Off Road Park last year before the Spring Willys Reunion. Today I drove out to Southington Off Road Park to try to make arrangements in person for us to wheel the day before the Spring Willys Reunion. I am thrilled to report that we are all set! Once again, Cheryl, who takes care of scheduling, was gracious and welcoming. She went out of her way to accommodate our group on a day they are normally not open. We will have access to the entire park!!! North and South! Plus, Dave said they have added some new obstacles in the South area. So, here are the details: The date is Thursday May 19, 2022 – the day before the Spring Willys Reunion. Time is 10am to 5pm Cost is $25.00 per driver payable at Southington Off Road Park All participants MUST sign an on line waiver prior to coming to the Park. Here is the link: http://www.southingtonoffroad.com/rules---waiver.html We must enter off of Rt. 82 at the south end of the Park – not through the main entrance on Silica Sand Rd. Go up the drive to the big building on the right. The holster shop is in the corner of the building where we will check in and pay. The address for your GPS is: 10025 State Rt. 82 Windham, OH 44288. It is just a driveway that runs north off Rt. 82 and is easy to miss. Here is a picture of it. I am planning to have a sign made to help our group find it. Southington Off Road Park is only 22 miles east of the Bertram
Inn. Rt.82 is a heavily traveled 2 lane and the way to go if you’re able
to travel at highway speed or are towing a trailer. If you want a more
leisurely trip, Pioneer Trail Rd. is a rolling back road that runs parallel and
just south of Rt. 82, and is perfect for Willys speed. For anyone who wants to clean their jeep up after
wheeling, there is a 3 bay manual car wash right on the way in Garrettsville at
the corner of Rt. 82 and Liberty St. behind the bowling alley. There are
2 more car washes in Aurora not far from the hotel. We will be all alone in the Park, so no amenities. I would suggest that you bring plenty of
drinking water, pack a lunch, and bring a dust mask. We will leave our cell number, CB channel,
and FRS channel with Cheryl at the holster shop so late arrivals can find
us. Also, Southington Off Road Park is really
going out of their way to make this happen for us so let’s be extra
considerate. If we see trash, let’s pick
it up. And be sure to thank the folks at
SOR for all the extra effort. As the date gets closer I would like to give SOR a rough
headcount. I you are planning to wheel
with us please post it here on the CJ2A page.
Looking forward to seeing
everyone! -Barry PS - Here's a video Seth made of last years Southington Off Road adventures! If you don't want to attempt the obstacles it's fun to cruise around together and cheer others on! Edited by Barry S - 05 Mar. 2022 at 8:37pm |
