I'm re-skinning my 2a windshield and would like to add the top bow hold down bolts, I'm looking for any suggestions from anyone who has done this before.
Thanks

I’ve not added a pair to a new skin, but I have harvested a pair from an old skin. If you need them, give me a holler.

I’ve done it. I drilled a couple holes and just spot welded them from the inside of the windshield. It was pretty easy. You really just need the right clamps to hold things in place.

I just realized what you were asking in your question.
I have done this, but didn’t weld them back in. I used windshield urethane instead. Applied some epoxy primer underneath and glued them in.

I was wondering if the originals were welded in. Most of the windshields on the Jeeps I have owned were missing those, but I have one now I am working on that still has the bolts and clamps in place.

If you can't get there in a Jeep you don't need to be there!

I'm with Otto on this.....glue them, less chance of warping that brand new panel.
