Up to what serial number to the cj-2a have chains on the windshield frame horns to cowl? I know they had them on the 46 I just recall that there is a serial number that stopped putting the chains on because they changed from the thumb twist pipe to a bolt type to hold the windshield on the cowl bracket.

They were never on CJ2As. You can google early 45 2A pics. Not even they had them. Not saying it’d be wrong of you to add them. It’s your Jeep.

Did they shop around for four really small guys? I can see the ad: "Wanted: Four little dudes to sit in a Jeep and make it look big. No experience necessary. Must provide own wardrobe."

They must’ve been in a big hurry to get the Jeep out the door for the picture, because they forgot to put the valve stem caps on when they aired up the tires! Or maybe those where an option as well like the spare tire..

The original owner had seen the jeep before and there is a picture of a Harvest tan one without the Capstan winch. I think it's the same jeep. The owner, when they took delivery of the jeep, was surprised that it had a Capstan Winch on it. They were told it was a gift from Sorenson.

Look at the picture Hamhog put up. Then this. These guys were so small. This lady dwarfs the gents in the jeep. And it looks like the rubber shortage continued, no spare.
