I'll use Bill Oakes cleaning method and take another pict and post it later.

Gary, that's what I said when I finally got a clear enough picture after about a dozen attempts with my digital camera.

I found the axle stamp dates today.....rear axle date is 9-17-45 .......

front axle date is 8-30-45. So at least i know that the front and rear is original. I was going to guess that it was a mid september built jeep.

Hello Ritt, hey, I like the pict of your painted frame, engine, and running gear. Thats almost as good to look at as the whole jeep.
