Well I finally drove her for the first time since I bought it in 2009. I even took the kids for the trip to the bottom of the driveway. I mainly wanted to get it moving under its own power so I didn't have to push in and out of the garage. It was bittersweet in that I finally got to drive it while enjoying the moment with my kids but also that I have little oil pressure again now that Ive installed the oil filter.
Oh well, Its all part of the journey I suppose. I'm so close now that I can taste it, the unfortunate part is that winter is right around the corner and definitely won't be able to have it drivable before temps drop below zero. My work list has been growing smaller most weeks and bigger other weeks. I'll keep posting updates for anyone who cares. Ive been trying to take more pictures during the process but I get pretty involved and forget, that and I don't want anyone to see the condition of my garage. HA.

I ordered and installed a new melling pump and the oil pressures are good so it must have been the oil pump was just worn out. I'm seeing like 5-10psi at idle and 30-40 at ~2000rpm. Hopefully I can get some more stuff to post here in the next few weeks. Jess

Just saw your first post/pic Jess. Gonna sound kinda weird but I really like the pencil point tread on the tires. Something about them looks right and great on a jeep. Great posse you have there too

to many jeeps, parts, and accessories to list here, but apparently enough to keep me in trouble with my wife. |
