I think I drove one of these when I was in grade school and visited a cousin in northern Maine.

Thanks!

Hey Rick, yes it is. I had a chance to take a day and walk through the Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum in Hood River, OR this past week. They had some great stuff in their military hanger. You can check out the website:

I have driven by there a few times and wanted to stop but we were already on an adventure so no time too. One of these days I'll stop there.

The early ones had a single ski in the front and about a 6 HP motor. We were up one winter and the tree cops had one on loan and they let me ride it. Over 100 HP and one guy said he had gotten it over 120 MPH. It was a race sled. This boy doesn't need to go that fast unless it is in an airplane.

The WAAAM is a must see if you are ever traveling thru the gorge.  You could spend a better part of the day there, depending on the company you have.
Impressive displays.
We went thru there Rick, the time we dropped by your place the 1st time.

Not quite a sno-Mule but close enough.  Back in my younger days in the early 1900's we used wood snow shoes to help the horses, or mules, stay up on the snowpacked trails while they hauled supplies for us.  Wink
