Thank you Mark. I previously purchased a directional signal assembly from Walcks. I was under the impression from my reading of the forum that I need to convert the existing parking light sockets to dual filaments.

You need dual filaments if you use them as marker lights also.   Single filament bulbs will only light when indicating a turn.  With dual filaments and correct wiring, they can be both lit at the same time independently of the head lights as maker lights only, or lit with the headlights at the same time, AND also blink as turn signals both when lit and not lit.  I believe Walck's would have provided a wiring diagram for CJ3A with turn signals with your purchase.  If not, PM me and I'll send you a copy.

If you get a Signal Stat 800 you do not need dual element bulbs. I have my turn signals working on the same single element as my park lights.
