My 2.2 year old grandson is already very familiar with Jeeps.   He points them out in parking lots,  or on my shirts etc.  :-)    . . .   "Jeep"

My Daughter-in-law sent a message this morning asking if I could watch him for a few hours today.  His day-care room was closed due to lack of teachers,  and she had meetings.   I fired up Wilson, attached the Bantam,  and went over for an adventure.

Below are some photos of our time together.   Actually we did a bunch of other things,  but these are the Jeep related photos.

I had collected some acorns I removed from driveway ->  to put out for deer at my son's property.  This is photo of grandson among them:

Part of the day was to remove some trees from a new trail.  Here are a couple photos of my grandson awaiting the command to start the winch.

Here he is,  focused on the stump coming out:

I wished I had thought to take some photos of the results.   One of the root balls was almost as tall as him.

edit:
I took this photo 2 days later with his sister,  to show size of root ball:

After we got off the tight trails,  it was time for him to drive us home.

Here he is waiting patiently for grandpa to figure how to take selfie with camera.

A little less patiently.   haha

Finally . . we are moving:

Concentration on the trail/road ahead:

Love it! My kids absolutely love going for rides in the jeep with me no matter where we are going. I know I got my love for jeeps from my dad and my grandpa as well.

I was just talking to another jeeper about those acorns. I'm in  Yorktown, and my neighbors oak is dropping acorns on me and my jeep project like artillary... I collected 9 gallons of acorns just in my project area in two days.  I don't own any property to go feed the deer on, and I'm sure if I dump it in Yorktown battlefields where we have tons of deer I'd be violating some laws.Confused

But you give me idea to post it on marketplace for free.

I'm sure your grandson is enjoying the heck out of his time with you.

Seems to be a crazy year for acorns!   I use leaf blower every day to blow off driveway,  but they were piling up at the edge.   I asked my son if he wanted them,   he did,  so used a big Ridgid shop vacuum to gather them up,  then put in the tan container, and the buckets.   Maybe close to 30 gallons in that trip.  I now have a bunch more on side of drive that need to be taken up, maybe half that.   Thankfully,  the rate of them falling does seem to be slowing down.

Hopefully you find someone to take yours.

I forgot to mention in original post,   but I thought it was so cool ->  each time my grandson pulled out a stump,  he said  -> "I did it"  haha      and seemed so excited.   . .   I think he had fun.

Maybe nature's forecast for a cold winter?
The squirrels are getting their heavy coats ready and love the extra chow.
