Hi guys,
Does anyone recognize this rear Axel hub, it is currently sitting in a '73 CJ5 with what looks like a Dana 44 rear end with a disk brake conversion.

Interesting.
At first glance it's a drive flange commonly used with a full float axle conversion.
The hose clamp sometimes holds a rubber home made boot or seal.
Usually a metal tap on cap covers the center area.
The bolt/bolt head in the center, got me ?
I'd be tempted to unbolt that drive flange and see what's there.

That bolt and center piece have some play to them. If I pull on the bolt it and the center piece move outward about a quarter of an inch. Same on the other side. My guess was the hose clamp and piece below is being used as a dust shield, but I've never seen this setup. On my next day off I plan to take it apart. I was hoping someone here may have seen this before. Thanks.
