So on my own CJ2A my backup light switch and bracket doesn't fit. So I went looking for a different way to handle the bracket and switch. I think I have come up with a setup that will be very simple and will require R&Ring only one Transmission cover bolts. I'll know more tomorrow. I have hundreds upon hundreds of tiny screws and socket head bolts from my years with Control Line Model Airplanes yet I can't find a screw small enough to go through the new switches mounting holes that I also have a Tap for (the switch will be held to the mount with screws threaded directly into the Mount). Once I have it all rigged up I'll add photos here. along with a price. I ordered extra switches in case someone wants one once seeing it. Should be tomorrow evening.

Ok here is what the new version of my backup switch setup looks like in operation Click on the above icon for a 11 sec video of the switch in operation This switch it rated for 20 amps at 125V so it would most likely be a good idea to have a Relay in the circuit unless your just running a pair of tail light like bulbs.

Cool. Seems simple enough. How is the wiring done? Where do we get the switch?

KW1-103 DAIER brand I got them off Amazon I had to buy 5 of them. As to the wiring its a switch one wire goes in on the bottom tab and the other wire connects to either of the other two tabs depending on if you want the switch normally open or closed Then depending on the type of back up lights your using you would need to use this switch to control a 4 pole relay or just wire directly through the switch.
