Where would I look on the Bantam for the identification plate?  I have a later model with the three tie downs on each side that I just bought.

Here is a link to the photos:

I do not see it in your pics where it should be.....front panel, top drivers side corner. They were attached with two rivets and often broke off.  Looks like a nice later trailer!

The serial # plate is located on the upper left front corner, but as
evidenced by your link to the pics....it's MIA.  Still a nice trailer and
Robert DeRuyter (sp) makes a spot on repro. of the data plate
with the mounting rivets.  Unfortunately, you'll have to make up
a number & keep in mind there is no way to determine what the
original # was....

Yes it does have a full length hinge.  Are there parts suppliers for these trailers to source the hinge, taillights, wiring etc.?

Hinges are standard weld hinges(3 1/2" I think), I got mine at the local hardware supplier, but Fastenal has them. Taillights are another story, I went with Model A taillights (closest I could come to the look), wiring harness I made myself.

Will the Military lights for the MBT trailer work on it?

I have a GPW and was going to restore it without modifying it's original characteristics with the exception of bolting on a Lunetter Ring in place of the standard hitch (which I will salvage and store because I understand they are rare) and painting olive drab with military markings.

This way if I ever want to sell it to a Bantam collector I do not destroy its value, as it can always be repainted.
