Hi everyone
I got a T3C a few weeks ago and have been asking a lot of
questions about the trailers as of late.I belive that it isent all
that bad of shape, but there is a lot of work to be done on it.
It was seting on a flat bed trailer in a small community 10
miles from my house. I found out who had it and called him
to see if it might be for sale. He told me that he just bought
it at a auction in Terrell Texas the day before and hadden
time to unload it yet. I offered him a 100.XX for it and he
smiled and said he gave 120.XX for it. I told him that I need
it for one of my jeeps and offered 150.XX and he took it.
It dosent have a data tag or serial number on Cry. I did
remove the rims off and tires and did some sanding on the two
rims. One was a solid disk rim 16X4.00 dated 3-45 and the
other was a reglar rim 16X4.50 dated 10-46 and thats all
I have as to trying to find out the dod.
I am going to try to post pictures of as it is now, before I
start trying to put her back to original as I much as I can
aford.
all coments god and bad are most welcome Clap now and
during the total recall LOL

That's gotta be the cheapest welding trailer in Texas.. Buy that $500 welder a guy is selling over on the 503 , put in a set of tanks, and you'll have a new job! That trailer was workin' hard in its previous life. I wonder where the welder went...I see the skids where it was slid in.

below are a few pics of the trailer after i have removed
bubbas add ons. its almost 90% sandblasted and has
more holes in it that joe lewis has been hit. so if the
weather stays good in a few weeks i can start on the patching
of the bed. i did find a suprise, both kelsey hayes and one
was 16x4.50 stamped 46 and the other was a military rim
16x4.00 stamped 3-45

JeepFever,

I'm not familiar with any 1/4 ton trailer with a "factory" tail light configuration like this.

Based on the numerous modifications that you can see from Bob's posted images, this may also be one.  This was a working trailer as opposed to a restoration or preservation (i.e. light duty) trailer.

If I were to wager a guess, I'd say at some point, the PO cut the rear panels - to match - since most likely the original had a drivers' side tail light only.  After this modification, it was easy for the PO to mount generic dual tail lights.

hi all
we are hopeing to get back to the trailer soon, as you can see
in the two pictures below. we have some very serious patching
to do to the bed. after the cutting bottles and skid plates for the
welder were removed it left some big time holes, thanks to bubba Cry Cry
we have an ideal WinkWink that we are thinking of on the patch work, and
i will let you know with pictures if it works are not Ouch very soon.

hi all the weather here in tx has been off and own for a
while now but we have doen a little work on the t3c
and the below picks are the toung and springs done
as you can tell the paint job on the trailer isent original
i just want to make it my way (each to their own)Wink

so we had this ideal about the floor of the trailerBig smile
we take a cj2a rear floor pan from a old willys
the top one and cut out the rear
after sandblasting the patch

looks as if all will line up, just as a t3c bed
i will try to patch soon

Not that it would be legal - but would be neat to see a CJ2A rear seat option in the Bantam for hauling the kids around like a hayrack rideWink

hi all
i have to many irons in the fire at one time, but i was able to
work on the t3c for a little. we cut out the bed of a 2a and
it looks as if the flooring matches the t3c
here are a few pics of the patches, i think after the grinding
the welds it will look great
i have the new led flush mounts tail lights on the way and will
try to start the body work on the fenders
