What reflectors do you have on your Bantam T3-C (if they look original only)
Would like to know manufactor and model numbers of Bezel.
Would like to know manufactor and model numbers of Reflectors.
Close up unedited pictures would be appreciated.
I have found early trailers with Arrow 217s with Grotelite 100 Reflectors so far. Edited by 48cj2a - 03 Feb. 2011 at 12:05pm |

I have 21351 that I am currently restoring. I will be posting the
pictures soon but thought I would start here. The trailer had three
reflectors on it - one in the center of the tailgate. I believe one of
the reflectors is original as it is the only one that had the same
layers of paint as the trailer.
Grote Model 100 Grotelite NO. 100 Hope this helps Tom Edited by Tom Lach - 05 Feb. 2011 at 3:19pm |

Based on where my trailer has been and who owned it, I believe my reflectors to be original (but can't be 100% sure). They are made by Do-Ray, Chicago - and the model (hard to see in top image) is "Tiger-ey P100."
Does anyone know what color the various reflector bezels were new? Where they plain (plated) or painted - and if painted, what color? ...R |

I know this is an older thread, but has any definitive results been determined? My trailer came without reflectors, but has the mounting holes. Trying to decide what to look for/go with. We're these reflectors glass like the Arrow taillights or plastic?

If you look thru the Database on my website, I've documented them if the info was available/given to me
but there are many blanks. All of the 45s should have Arrow 217s with Grotelite 100 bezels (I believe these were used on the Military T3s as well so they probably had many in stock/on hand). The 2xxxx sn range seems to have begun Grote 100 Reflectors I think many just gave me the reflector model number which obscures the data rather than the bezel and reflector models as Grote made reflectors themselves with the same model 100 number I'm deployed right now but when I get back I probably need to go thru each trailer I have pictures of and readdress the research to see if I can update anything in the database. It would be nice to resurrect this Poll and see if more will chime in...

My T3-C trailer is missing the reflectors and the upper mounting holes. I stumbled across this post while I was trying to figure out what is correct or at least is going to be a less objectionable replacement. I also need 4 reflectors for my Willys MB. Grote still makes the reflector listed below and the price is reasonable. Can anyone confirm if the 3 31/32" bolt centres are correct for the T3-C?
Edit: I just measured the reflector bolt centres on my 1945 Willys MB. It is 3 31/32" so I am sure the T3-C trailers used the same or very similar reflectors based on military requirements for parts interchangeability back in WW2. I installed Aluminium Grote 4023 bases with Grote 4005 red lenses over 20 years ago on my Willys. How I managed to smash all 4 of them is beyond me. The 40162 bases are steel. Hopefully they will take more abuse. Edited by David Fillman - 10 Nov. 2017 at 11:43pm |
