All new direct replacement 12 volt bi-directional 2.5hp winch motor for your early upright winch!

It's time to give those great old winches another life! This new motor fits all 'Belleview' case upright winches. This includes the early brass tag 6000lb winches built and sold by Belleview Mfg. Co. prior to being bought out by Warn Industries along with the Warn model 8000, Warn #5687, Warn #5721, Warn #7200, Warn 8200, and more.

This is a Bi-directional motor to provide a power-out along with a power-in function based on the later 8200 design. The motor also has the extended tail shaft to allow the stock drag brake to be used.

With Bi-directional motor control, you also add the ability to run the winch in an 'over-the-top' configuration to allow the winch to be sunken down between the frame while not exposing the flairlead/hawse to rock damage. The big bonus of the drum brake on the early versions is that it doesn't care which way is 'in'. (Keep an eye out for out new Belleview winch mount coming soon!)

Constructed with all new parts including the required drive gear, support bearing, and o-ring seal.

Note: You will need to retain your original steel dust cover for the drag brake assembly (or purchase a new replacement cover, available soon!)

$325, Includes ground shipping (and insurance!) for the USA lower 48. Please contact for other options.

I would be. I have a m8000 sitting in the garage and a 6v 3a. I have debated about converting to 12v just to be able to use the winch.
