I have a couple of engines in the barn that still have belts on them, but I'll have to go down and take a look to see what they are like. If I find one that looks okay you can have it for the price of postage.
I am curious why you want a used belt, as a new belt as you describe is not very expensive. |

I am about to start up the Myron Davis Time-Life photo jeep after addressing the mechanicals. This vehicle will remain in "as found" condition, however, the belt is MIA... Thank you so much....

That sounds very interesting.
I just got back up the hill from the barn. The two engines down there that still had belts are the notched belts which I assume you referred to as grooved and not what you are looking for. I have another engine still in a Jeep that has a belt on it. I'll go take a look at that one after I finish with lunch.

Low,
I have three possibilities. This will be a 5/8” wide belt, correct? I have one at 42” (approximately), one at 42-1/2”, and one at 43”. The 42” one has “Gates”, barely readable on it. Do ya any good? BW

Mike, I bent that old belt backwards a bit to try to shove it into a box, and it broke. I can’t imagine why……

Have you tried taking the old one down to the farm store to see if they have one or if they can order one in? I have done that with a few vehicles that the customer wanted non-ribbed belts for authenticity purposes. I have used Ranch Right & Murdock's for this. YMMV.
