5 new KM3's showed up today.
My favorite set of tires so far. Cause I have not tried them.... Ha Ha Ha ! Just one drawback ..... the 10 ply rating makes them waaay heavy. So that alone will surely effect the MPG. And they may actually be too heavy for a weak running L-134.

Yes they are 7.50 x 16.
I absolutely love the diameter and the minimal width of these tires. They are roughly at 100% aspect ratio. Just like the oldschool numberical bias ply tires used to be. Love the tread depth and the lug design. I intend them for a flatty daily driver that will see lots of road miles. I have 3 jeeps I'm building so it may be a while before I get to using them. Lee, I got 50 pounds on the bathroom scales. BFG says 50. 5 pounds. The wheels will be KH heavy duty 5 x 16 which weigh in at 24 pounds each. So 75 pounds per wheel assembly; which is rather high. For comparison the STA 6.50 x 16 tires weigh in at 34 pounds including the tube. I mount those 6.50's on standard KH 4-1/2" x 16" wheels that weigh 19 pounds a piece. Total weight of 53 pounds. Back in the late 1970's I ran some wide 35" tall Ground Hawgs on a lifted but stock 2A. The strong running Go Devil could not get past 40 MPH on the interstate with the huge tires. It's mostly the tire/wheel weight that kills the MPG and strains the torque output. But no worries for me I'll mate these heavy tires to Dauntless engine and HD power train. Can you get mounted, aired up to a certain pressure, unweighted height and overall width? I'd like to compare to the 7.50-16 Powerkings I have. Gonna check the overall wheel and tire weight to what you have mentioned above as well.

Heres the tires I have collected so far. I'm still wanting a set of 7.50 x 16" NDT for my F-134 crawler build. Oldtime, I’m assuming the right tire is the Perrelli, correct ?, and is in the 40 lb range. Before next years outings I plan on a tire change. My current Kelley’s have served me well out west for several years and in my opinion the best type of tire for the mountains as long as it’s not muddy, But I want a skinny tall tire that doesn’t stick out past the body. I have a very strong 134 and 1” over stock lift and believe these BFG’s would suit me well (even more so if I had a gravel truck ) With retirement in the future I plan on wheeling here in the Midwest more so a mud type tire is a plus and I’m not interested in a bias ply. So either I’m Moving to Wyoming or buying new tires or both!. It would be sweet if the industry would recognize our needs with both tires & tubeless rims, but our small needs do not meet the mass numbers they need to sell. Hey Spinnas,
At present I don't have mounted diameter for anything but the STA 6.50 x 16". I don't normally go by the section width (OAW) because its always the outer edge of the tread that rubs first. The section width mainly influences the optimum rim width. So instead I pay close attention to the tread at it's maximum width. On many tires the treads are staggered and so I take that into account when figuring the maximum tread width. The tread edges are always the first part of tire to hit the front springs or to rub inside the rear wheel house. I'll upload all the above tire details in another posting. Yes Lee those are the 6 ply Pirelli 235/ 85R/16 Mud Scorpion radials. I mainly am interested in the radials too, used for daily driving. The STA 7.50 Super Traxion M+S are an old school design. You can see they are siped very well and allow studs to be inserted . They should have excellent performance in snow and ice too if they are studded. But all that siping and the grooves have at least one drawback. If running them on gravel they are likely to be stone throwers. I'm mainly after the tallest narrow traction tires that fit an unmodified flattie with minimal rubbing. Useage: Non specialized daily driving in all conditions. This shows the tallest and IMHO the best tires that can be fitted on an unmodified Flatty. The typical STA 6.50 x 16" mounted tire is shown mostly for comparison. The 6.50 x 16 tires will not interfere with maximum D25 steering angles nor will they rub on the inner rear wheel house. The taller tires can also fit non lifted flatties with only minor rubbing issues. The taller tire rubbing issues can be addressed with very minor changes. STA 6.50 x 16" / Super Traxion / 6 Ply rating / tube type It's 30" tall (mounted) and the maximum tread width is 6-3/8" wide. The mounted section width is 7". The rims are the standard 4-1/2" x 16" KH at 19 pounds. 6 ply rated tire plus tube weighs in at 34 pounds. STA 7.50 x 16" / Super Traxion / 8 ply rating / both tube type and tubeless are available It's 31-3/8" tall (unmounted) and the maximum tread width is 6-3/4" wide. The unmounted section width is 7-1/4" The rims will be heavy duty 5" x 16" KH at 24 pounds. 8 ply rated tire alone weighs in at 40 pounds. BFG 7.5 x 16" KM3 / 10 ply rating / radial It's 31-3/8" tall (unmounted) and the maximum tread width is 6-3/4" wide. The unmounted section width is 8-1/4" The rims will be Heavy Duty KH 5" x 16" at 24 pounds. 10 ply rated tire alone weighs 50 pounds. Pirelli Mud Scorpion 235 85 16 / 6 ply rating / radial It's 31-3/8 tall (unmounted) and the maximum tread width is 7" wide. The unmounted section width is 8-5/8". Rims might be the Heavy Duty KH 5" x 16" at 24 pounds ? 6 ply rated tire alone weighs 43 pounds. Note: The Pirelli is the only 235 85 16 radial available in 6PR. For the slightly wider Pirelli tires I may use the heavy duty KH 6 x 16" as were installed on 1964 and 1965 Willys PU trucks (These are not the same wheels as the Gladiator used) They are KH "873 and also "50823. I am also still also considering saving the 6" wide wheels for a set of Narrow Super Swamper tires. But certainly not planning to run NSS tires on a daily driver. None of these tires seem perfect to me in every regard but all are reasonably close. And Yes ... I'm still wanting a set of the 7.50 x 16" NDT's for my 134 rock crawler project.

Spent some quality time with my selection of KH wheels today and that got me to thinking more about what wheels best fit what tires.
So I measures the unmounted bead width for these 3 tires. Here's the KM3 shown below The 7.50 STA Super Traxion = 5" bead width with tire unmounted. The 7.50 BFG KM3 = 5" bead width with tire unmounted The 238/85R/16 Pirelli Mud Scorpion = 4.5" bead Width with tire unmounted. So in theory the Pirelli may actually work best if trying to use the standard 4-1/2" rims ???

Well aired mine down to 15 psi and plan to run them at this pressure for the duration. Road manners have softened up a bit more. I still think for a ten ply tire, they ride very soft. No so much in the above 30 psi range, but down low, it's working for me. Drove them about 50 miles tonight on an ice cream run. Took it off road for a short spin and that has improved as well at 15. This is not any high value science testing, this is seat of the pants, Hill Billy science. Went up wet rocks on a pretty good grade with mixed wet mud. Damn things never slipped. Again I didn't bring the GoPro, because I told the little woman it was an ice cream run........oh with a short cut...😁i

Here's my info for PowerKing Super Traction II 7.50-16s, should be the same as Deestone D503's. At 15psi, mounted on custom made 16"x6" allied wheel black soft 8s(2.75" BS to not rub in the rear and maintain steering angle while not rubbing in the front. Weight: 67.5lbs total, since I don't have them separated can't weight separate, and since that isn't a standard wheel they don't have a listed weight, closest I could find is 22lbs on the wheel. Height: 31.5" unweighted Width: 8.25" Tread width 6.5" 10-ply tire, E rated They list as 8.4" wide and 32" tall at 75psi max. I am currently running 6psi front and 5psi rear on my 2A.
