I recently picked up a 47 CJ2A and I’m hunting for some body armor. Who makes any? Do the tub armor for the back corners from CJ5s work? Is the rear radius the same?

Rear radius is the same look on Ebay usually someone's offering 2A corner armor.

So in theory can I just buy a CJ5 one of my choice and make it work?

Just me, but I’d rather have dents than those corner thingys.
Well, I guess I do have dents without them, but I would have had those dents with them or without them. Anyway, welcome to the forum, Love to see some pictures of your rig.

Well I probably wouldn’t seek it out but I’m pretty banged up. Just wanted to make it cleaner

CJ-5 ones will have holes in the wrong places. Seek out ones made for a 2A or uncut. but keep in mind these things are typically not very thick and while they might help on some dent prevention they will accelerate rust.

You guys have me rethinking it. Perhaps I should just buy fresh sheetmetal and replace the corners.

IMO- those dents, scratches and dings tell a story. Making memories- depends what you really want.
If you start adding replacement sheet metal and paint, you might be too nervous driving it off-road. Design simple bumpers that will extend beyond the tub to help protect the front and back fenders and corners. Luckily for my CJ2A and CJ-5, patina is in.

I removed some from one of my jeeps because it was so ugly. If you are nearby and want it, you can have it.

From my searches the only place that sells body armor is the metal shop, I had to buy it and make what I wanted.
If you want to clean it up the body plenty of places sell patch panels.
