My column shift VEC has no bow pockets. were these standard and mine were removed? I see no sign they were even installed. the panels are super clean. Try to get back to original. Thanks

My VEC is 23 from the end of the 1945 year and it has the bow pockets.

Some of the early repro tubs did not have them installed. One had to remove the old ones from their Jeep & install them on the repro tub.

When my uncle bought a tub from J.C.Whittney, he elected to not R&R the bow pockets. It seems that he never used them, so why bother?

Mine has them.
If you are not trying to keep it 100% original and don't intend to ever use them,
I think it would look a little cleaner without them.

Column shift #22786 had the original bow pockets which we had to cut off during our tub rebuild. Just welded new ones on last week.
