Going over my '46 CJ2A brakes for the first time and wondering if I should replace the shoes.
Brake Pad thickness is ~ 15/100" (3.8mm)
What is thickness of new brake pad? (I haven't been able to find it in manual or on-line)
And is there a recommended minimum thickness.

Brake pedal free-range is normal (just over 1/2")
Pedal travel to get the Jeep to stop is pretty far down,  even after adjusting eccentrics and anchor pins.
I will be replacing some of the adjusting hardware and wondering if I should get brake shoes while I'm at it.

Drum brakes don’t have pads. They have shoes with lining. You might have had better luck looking for lining thickness.
If I remember right, 2/32” of lining for bonded shoes or 2/32” above the rivet heads for riveted lining was minimum to pass the Colorado State safety inspection.

It is NOT a Jeep Willys! It is a Willys jeep.
