Very interesting data. I've seen olive colored door frames and top bows, but mostly on the later CJ-3As.

According to the Parts Lists the door "lights" (windows) for a CJ-2A were originally part number 663510 and then were superseded by 667054. Early small window CJ-3As started out with 667054 door lights. Perhaps 663510 is polycarbonate and 667054 is flexible vinyl??

Interesting. From Wikipedia.......

The principal use of cellulose nitrate is for the production of explosives, lacquers, and celluloid. The explosive applications are discussed below. In terms of lacquers, nitrocellulose dissolves readily in organic solvents, which upon evaporation leave a colorless, transparent, flexible film.

So if the diagonal rod is above the door latch; then that implies it will also have steel window frames ?

I bought them as 2A doors... thoughts?

Those are late 2A doors. You lift the glass up in your windshield, wrap those front flaps around the outer windshield frame, then shut the glass.

Since the CJ3A windshield does not have the open glass “luxury” feature, there is a channel on the windshield that the door skin slides into.

Another feature difference is the top door hinge pin. The 2A pin points downward. 3A,3B,and CJ5 point upward.

The sewn in window was done by a PO. Judging by the way the binding looks and some of the seams, I’d guess the entire door has been re-skinned or at least repaired. The front edge that wraps around the windshield looks different and the lower cinch fastener is not original.

Edit: does the drivers door have a turn signal flap?

Later on the service part number for the early small door lights was 668138 and the large light was 673300.
