A little turps he'd get better application, then heat, then if he buffed it with a stiff brush and burnished it with a rag to remove any excess he'd get better appearance results, but ya- that's it

Canvak from Montana Canvas Co. I used it on my M37 top. They warn you not to spill or get it on your paint during application. When done you cam fill a small bottle and just a touch behind each ear will attract all sorts of outdoor women. A a manly scent!

I'm a canvak user. I have experience with it on only two tops.... the first one seemed to leak regardless of the canvak treatments. My second top is great! Only one canvak go on this one and I stay dry enough.
The moral of my very limited experience is that canvak won't salvage a leaky top, but it will make a good top even better.

I receied my summer top from KW today so I thought I would share some pictures, It seem like it was built nicely and should work good. I was a little confused with the straps on the side but I believe they are to go around the rod that goes between the windshield and the top bow which I do not have on there at this time.

Is that the same style of top you use on your green jeep? What do you think of this one compared to the other?

Same style kinda, Jpet built me the green jeep on out of sunbrella and I really like that one. This new one is made of canvas and has some differences on how it attachs to the bos and does not wrap around the rear bows. I have not taken it out for a ride yet to see how the wind will affect it but it still pretty nice.

I used the bees wax / turpentine / linseed oil on my home made canvas top, it is very waterproof, darkened the canvas a little and a little smelly for about a week .

A update on the treatment, I did not do anything to it and it is rainy today so I pulled it out of the garage and let it get wet. It was raining pretty hard and no leaks.
