Ernie, i wasn't able to use your link also. But I did find it another way. Here is the link I recovered to your video. https//youtu.be/FdthrF0jrU4
It looks like you included a double http in your link. Great video after I found it! I enjoyed seeing some of the trails we didn't get to venture together.

That is an awesome video Ernie. Yours I think was the first that made me really smile, the selfies were great, good background music, but especially I liked that Marine Reveille. Really looking forward to wheeling with you again sometime. BTW - Readers don't click on the link just copy and paste not including the first "http://"

Well, Ernie, it's too early to say for sure when the next FCT will be. I haven't consulted the Ouija board, had my tea leaves read, gazed into the stars, checked on my horoscope, perused the Old Farmers Almanac, paid my Palm Reader, rolled the dice, looked into my crystal ball, or talked with my Tarot Cards. When I visit each of these sources of future wisdom, and they all agree on the same week, then I know I've got a winner week coming. If I get told 2 or even 3 different weeks, then I've got to flip a coin to decide which week to select. I usually try to do all this future forecasting between Thanksgiving and Christmas because it's cold, and gets dark early, and there isn't enough snow for good skiing yet. But since you asked Ernie, tell you what I'll do. I'll print out a calendar page for next September and I'll throw darts at it and see what week I hit the most.
Ok, the page is printed. I took down the wall clock downstairs and put the calendar up on the screw that holds the clock. That way I will hide all the dart holes in the sheet rock behind the clock so Nancy won't see them. Don't tell her!! OK, I've got 5 darts to throw. I used to have 6 but I threw one at the chipmunk in the wood pile and it disappeared down a hole in the pile. The chipmunk came back but the dart is gone. Anyway, here's my hits with the darts. September 2, Sep 25, Sep 19, Sep 14, and Sep 22. OK when I look at how many landed in each week, I got two hits in the week of 18 to 24 September. That's the only week with two hits, so that must be the week. So your answer is September 18 through 24. I hope that helps with your vacation planning. Now if you could only find a way to pay off the random number generator to give you a low number in next year's lottery. You've got 6 months to get that figured out.

Easy peasy Marine, git'r done. Improvise, adapt, overcome! Get that random number generator figured out and then tell me how you did it. I'll buy you an ice cream sundae with a cherry on top down at K's.

Heading to the mountains. That’s Kevin Boog directly in front in his 1953 V8 powered CJ3B. Base camp at the the Thirsty Dirt Ranch (8,550’ elevation) Mike in the center with four other Flattie reprobates who I embarassed to say have forgotten their names but know they must be great guys becuase after all they are Flatfender people. Lunch break again. Behind the camera was an amazing mine that my lungs prevented me from climbing to. Kevin Johnson’s fine Dauntless powered Flatfender. Kevin Boog’s CJ3B The Mad Brit’s fruit salad frankenstein Flattie. Check out that trail up there. Photo taken from very close to the Thirsty Dirt Ranch. Rick G’s highly polished immaculate machine. Ernie Ongaro's perfect M38 Brian Gabriel’s highly modified Flattie Mike’s “Blue Mule” The Jolly Rodger machine driven by John but directed by Joan Grizzly Lake Trail Kevin Johnson chasing me up the Grizzly Lake Trail Grizzly Lake My co driver Brad Troublemaker Schultz pooping on a rock Where’s Waldo the deer? The incredibly talented Des Johnson from Harvester Woodworks YouTube video fame. Not sure what they were looking at as the Gatekeeper was an easy drop. Maybe it is to ooh and aah over the handsome Rick G or to listen to his funny accent. Can’t believe this was lying “abandoned” in a farmer’s field. Aspen Ridge lunch stop The amazing Nancy and Mike Picard - Our gracious hosts and organzers of the Colorado Fall Color Tour What nut job drives a Mercedes Benz above tree line on Mount Antero Traffic jam on Mount Antero Nice Toyota, but would be nicer if the wheels were facing in the same direction. They way I was feeling on our ride home. How come it’s a 1,200 mile, 20 hour journey to Colorado but it’s a 2,400 mile 40 hour journey back home. A huge thank you again to Nancy and Mike Picard for their hospitality and to all the new friends we made. I can only dream we will win the Thirsty Dirt Ranch lottery again and participate a second time. |

Great pictures Graham, it was a pleasure meeting and Jeeping with you and Brad, and everyone else at FCT 2021. Hope we can do it again next year, if the lottery will be willing.

I would like to thank Ernie for the short vid on my carb change 15:18 in the video on Thursday. That was fun. For some odd reason your screwdriver ended up in my tool bag by mistake. Mike was absolutely right if for some reason you breakdown you won't be doing it alone. |

Hey Dave, yes calendars are in the works. If anyone has pictures to send: aricktsites@gmail.com
I guess this would be a good time to start collecting requests. Same as last year: 25 for one, 40 for two. I will be sending out at the end of the year.
