dodge/chrysler mini van rear axle. Get the AWD, it's got the biggest bearings, pass on the 4 lug bolt version. I flipped it upside down without modification other than the width. The pipe tube cross beam is an easy weld job after cutting out a section in the middle for desired width.

Nice work, what is the bed off of, a Jeep truck ? I have a 47 Ford bed I have thought about cutting down to a short bed, never thought about making it narrower.
