3a’s? Antique Jeeps only, please 😭
It would be neat to see the database expanded.

I think it would be interesting to see a database of all flat fender Jeeps, but I would imagine it would be very difficult to manage

Has anyone tried using the WAYBACK MACHINE to bring back a snapshot of the site? |

I gave it a try yesterday. It does work, there is an older (June 2009) and newer (March 2022) instance available through the Wayback Machine that I saw, but I couldn't get it to load properly. After refreshing the page a few times, I could see it, but I couldn't get the pictures to load at all.

Does anyone know who runs/hosts the CJ-2A parts list site? It has been down for a really long time. The website works but the page itself does not load.
This one, for reference: https://www.cj-2a.com/parts_list/index.php?load=groups

Hope it can be brought back somehow. I'm an IT professional and would be willing to help if needed, if someone has access to the original files/database etc.

So with the Database and from how it looks all parts lists and everything linked to it (including the Old CJ-2A Website) gone, what other options are there? Short of someone just starting over and making a new database

Not certain, but would certainly be interested and willing to pitch-in. I have a VEC that I had hoped to upload to the database.

When MarkW mentioned the Wayback Machine, I had no idea what he was referring to, but last month my son was talking about using it to find old tech articles on a car he is working on.
Below is one of their web snapshots. When I first open it, the page with the info appears for a second, but then disappears. Maybe someone can figure out how to get it to show: Below is the HTML code from that link. It appears to have all the data for hundreds of Jeeps, if anyone could figure out how to clean it up and publish. |
