I've been lucky so far, it is 52 degrees at the moment. Next week it will be high 20's at night and there is talk of some snow, which to this Ohio boy is laughable. It is all the rain freezing that makes it fun here

Hi cal.bar - I believe we only got around 80 something days of clear sunny sky's last yearConfused (I heard that's why people on the West Coast are so laid back, because of all the sun LOLLOL) The darkness is harder for me to deal with than the cold...

Yesterday morning we had -38 at the end of the driveway! Wife and I flew to Las Vegas last night to 67 deg..... Shock!

It’s been interesting telling southerners we drive cars and trucks on the lakes in the winter over the years they don’t get it, lol.

Good looking perch! Last time I went perch fishing was on the Saginaw Bay. I'm surprised I have fingers and toes left, but we caught our limit.

Last week it was -28. Three days later is +40s and ruining the beautiful snow pack we had. My wife got in 1 day of cross country skiing in before it turned to S*#t. Now it's just a slushy disgusting mess!! Angry

My grand kids had a snow day in Astoria, OR.  Got some pictures of them sledding this AM.  They never had snow in Galveston, TX.  Coast Guard kids get moved around quite a bit.

Thanks Dennis for posting the picture.  I do not know how to get pictures from my yf's phone.

Hello Jeepers! We took advantage of the cold this weekend and did some Ice fishing! With the wind, it was one of my coldest days on the ice, but it was bright and sunny. We had a good day with minnows on the tip-ups and jigging with grubs. I found this old post, it was two years ago to the day.

How are you Texas guys doing? I can't believe how far down the cold is going, all the way to Mexico. Weather Channel says people are not used to driving in this stuff and you have rolling black-outs to conserve energy.... Crazy Stuff... Wishing you all well.

Lee

It was a lot warmer here down south (~50 miles south of Harris in Roseville MN).  I only saw -18.
