Last week or so I picked up some parts off a guy. One of the PTOs had this leather boot attached to the shifter setup. Don't think I've ever seen an original leather one before.
Once I clear a few projects out I'm going to make a top for my jeep. Once I acquire some sewing skills, maybe I'll make some of these too. |

A few years ago I had the D18 levers, overdrive and PTO boots all shot. I had some nice white deer hide gloves a friend gave me. They were too dirty to use in the recycling plant? If needed, they could get a new pair every day. We all had several pairs.
OK, cut off a few fingers and have the holes sewn up and mount them. Not color correct but they have worked for several years. I believe the old MB and GPW Jeeps had leather shifter boots.
