Dana 18 transfer case shift fork issue

   Hey, I'm new to the form here. I am rebuilding the Dana 18 transfer case out of my '48 CJ2a, using a rebuild kit from Quadratec. My issue is that when the output shaft sliding gear is assembled on the output shaft, it rubs on the shift fork. The shift fork itself does not appear to be bent. Any ideas?? Thanks
