ive read there are 2 different gears that are in the d18. Im speaking of thev26 and 29 tooth that you check for when ordering an overdrive.
My question what is the significance betweenthem. Is one from a newer unit. Or is one used for lower or higher gearing. Mine is the 29 tooth.

This explains the basic TC differences:

The ideal Warn unit depends on what specific TC you have. Also please realize that the early Warn units were all built as front shifting units while later Warn units are all built as rear shifting units. Earlier front shift units cannot be mated to the later "Big Hole Transfer Cases".
