My trailer is missing the data plate with the serial number.  Is there another location on the trailer where the serial number is located?

No the Data Plate is the only place. Early Military Surplus T-3 built trailers had an ACM number stamped in the front left gusset plate but it is not the same number.

If I were you, I'd look at what my trailer has on it in terms of period correct components for a particular year, compare that with the registry database and pick a serial number that's not in use. Dataplate4U can re-pop one for you.

This is about the only option.  What I would add is to read this thread:

F Bill added about the best advice possible to avoid any seemingly unimaginable serial number duplication - just in case.

Thank you!  I like the serial number idea, adding a letter, etc. may need some help dating it...I’ll post a few photos.
