Some of the studs may need repair, but it sounds like he would include other parts too?

Oh he didn't cost that much ......lotta 'sweat equity'.
I guess if I could stretch out payments for adapters over 7yrs like I did on Frankie they wouldn't be that expensive though. I sure love the look of yours though.....everything about it, the stance, the duallys, the patina of the paint, everything! Is that one 'Elmer' or 'Gray Mule' ? |

I know all about "sweat equity" Sir, however I'll bet those big old wheels and tires were pure green backs. I must say that is one sweet 2A pickup resto-mod you have! Here is a thought. just take out a home equity loan and pay it over 7 years and your good to go! IMHO $400 is not a bad price for a dual wheel setup, even with the issues they had. That is my "Gray Mule" or the "Estate WILLYS". I paid less for him than the subject dually setup! So I sprung for the dual wheel setup when they came along (thanks to Harry & Joe). Elmer is his better looking "Luzon Red" brother. |

Ok, glad to officially meet them.
Yes, $400 was a great price you are right. Never thought about duallys on Frankie. If I ended up with a setup I think 'Southpaw' would have the 'wide in the hips' look. Thanks for the compliments on Frankie. ( I already have that home equity loan that I keep a running tab on....really nice to have. Everybody oughta have one, really helps not having to worry about small loans for stuff) |

Hi 3-48’s, have you noticed any premature wear of the rear axles or differential? Does this installation force extra strain on the rear? How does the Jeep drive on the road, does it feel slower or anything? Can the Jeep still be used on the road or with the duals it’s more of a yard vehicle? Thanks in advance for your insight!

Hey Bud, I have only used these on my "Estate WILLYS" (around my place), however I have snuck out on the country road near my place and traveled at better than 40 MPH with no difficulties. The gent you might want to contact is Windyhill (Seth). I know he has had these in his rig for quite some time and I am sure he would fill you in on his experiences with dual wheals. Man, kid in the pass. seat just turned 18. Time flies! Dual's are fun, except when your trying to push your jeep to roll start it and the outer wheel keeps trying to run over your boots.

Do you think this dual dually would be a rough ride with only one set of "t-rail chains" on the driver side front?

You bet I do!!
I have feeling this photo was taken for show... I recall seeing the back of this JEEP being painted in silver ('bling, bling'). It does look cool, I like it
