I seem to be routing the e brake cable thru what I now think is the engine stop cable bracket. If so where is the e brake cable supposed to anchor?

what is this bracket to the left of the engine stop bracket used for?

Brake return spring hooks there. Looks like yours is missing unless you have it fastened somewhere else.
You are trying to route your emergency brake cable along the wrong side of the engine. The cable runs on the right hand (passenger)side of the bell housing and down to the crossmember. The cable housing fits into a clamp (p/n A-8847) that bolts to the crossmember just ahead of the e-brake operating lever. The clamp bolts to the crossmember with a 5/6" bolt, nut, and lockwasher. |
