I know this is an old thread but are you still in business of rebuilding engines?

A Google search shows he's still in business. His number was on the first page. Give him a call.

Evan - based on what I paid, your proposed price is a real bargain if it includes the parts and assembly. If not, even the disassembly and machine work would be a pretty good deal.
I am in California or you would have my work (CJ-5 225 V6). Mike |

I got a quotation from Classic Motor Machine ship for rebuild L134 including all the machine work, assembly, parts, primed and panted for right around $3000. Quote was given in August of this year
Super quick communication! Available for questions and eager to help

I looked at Evan's profile, I see he has not been on the forum since Feb 2016. I Googled his business and read some reviews since he is not too far away from me. I suggest you all do the same.

I am up here in Redding, California.
Evans pricing is very good from my familiarity of engine rebuild costs up here. Example - 3-years ago, my brother-in-law took his L134 out of his 3A ex-navy jeep and sent it to the local machine shop for a rebuild. I think it cost him $2500- and I have no idea what components were replaced. I actually had to laugh, because I think his problem was a faulty accel-pump. But he was insistent on paying for a rebuild. It is good to hear that Evan is doing well with his shop ! Len |

Google says the name was changed to MDR Automotive, and now shows it closed. I am not sure if this is true, just what it looks like.
