Wow, that looks very familiar Russ. Wink Glad to see that with all the other cool stuff rolling around in the place that you're finding the time to turn some wrenches. Don't forget, I've still got wheels with your name on them.
My wife refers to my 2a as "the project."

Update.

I had the tub sandblasted and I brought it to Dave at Original Bodies Only to have the rusty panels replaced.

Here is the passenger side floor getting redone.

Here's a shot of the replacement cowl support from midwest military being spliced in, its pretty close to a 100% match to the original.

Here is a NOS panel getting ready to be spliced in on the drivers side.

Russ,
Your tub looks like mine, I have a fred flintstone floor too. I just bought a welder so I can repair my body (among other things). Although I plan on doing minimal repairs and drive mine around town this summer. Maybe I will drive it the the NJFF meeting and get everyones opinion on what to do first.

Yours looks great, I can't wait to see more progress. It gives me a glimpse of what I'm in for.

Great work.  Maybe a little more on mine to do than yours.  Thanks for the insightful post and pictures.

A couple of more pictures of the tub just about finished.

I have been working with Dave at Original Body's Only. If you need body work done in the New Jersey area he is the guy to go to.

Thanks!
No wood on the front replacement hat channels they actually have inserts where the bolts go through so the wood is not necessary. The rears ones still have the original wood, we were able to patch the metal without burning them too much.

Looking good! All these people fixing up tubs has given me the ambition to fix the one on my '49. Kind of looking forward to it now. Just unsure whether I should paint it or just touch up the red primer...
