I finally did some trading and obtained my first flat fender. It’s been a display in a clothing store for the last 30 years in Arkansas is what I have been told. Sadly it’s been patched together poorly just good enough for that sole purpose. And who ever did it couldn’t weld to save their life.

Brings back memories of a "display" MB in front of restaurant I saw on business trip many years ago. It was a patchwork of different years.Hopefully yours is better. Looking forward to photos. :-)

That link doesn’t play well with my phone. All of the tags and vin numbers that should be on my Jeep have either been removed or welded over. If I can figure out the picture posting I will get up some detailed pics. Eric

Do you need to have a certain number of posts or something before a new member can post pictures? I know the first time or two that I tried to put pictures in a thread it wouldn't work for me, and then a little later it was no problem.

21Willy.
Very Cool - Welcome. Looks like it might have a factory winch bumper - perhaps a Koenig. What are your plans for it - restore, us pretty much stock, or build a Rock Crawler / Mud Buggy? Stev

Sorry for the lack of replies.
Plans? Who knows, stock doesn’t interest me much. I’d rather have some thing that I can drive across the country if I Want to and get parts off the shelf for. I’d like to find a small Diesel engine for it with modern drivetrain and axles. Eventually I will find a top for it of some sort. But first I just want to make it driveabke and reliable. I have acquired a tailgate for it and I am still searching for windshield frame that is in better shape. Mine is junk. It’s been broke into and filled with bindi in several places. I have other projects that I may start first also that include a 49 jeepster, and a Cherokee that I’m building as a family exploration rig that’s capable of long trips.
