Yeah, we're not to proud to go to the dump. Just the right size for recycling stuff. Just be careful no one mistakes your CJ for scrap....:)

That's a cool trailer. Looks like a WWII German cook trailer.

My 47 2A named Nighter had multiple work outs the other day.First I dropped my fork lift rear wheel off the pavement which pulled the driver wheel off the ground. Had to use the jeep to pull the hopper out of the way and then drag the fork back onto the pavement. Guess it's time to put a locker in the fork lift.
Then I had to split wood and haul it home before the snow and salt hit the roads the following day. At the end of the work day I had to drag my employee's brakeless truck into the shop to fix the rusted out brake lines. Then I decided to drag out the last of the logs out from under the trailer and get them cut, split, and hauled home too. In all... a fantastic day! Now I need to find more things to haul around. |

to many jeeps, parts, and accessories to list here, but apparently enough to keep me in trouble with my wife. |

One of our sons moved into the house and property next to ours this past year. We thought it would be nice to to build some trails on his property to join with ours for accessing the woods with Jeeps, but also for walking trails. I had bought this grubbing chain a couple years ago when it was on a "too-good-to-pass-up sale", thinking it might be handy one day (if it really worked). I finally put it to use today to pull up some small trees. (and it DOES work ) Below you can see the first two trees that I tried. (I cut them off, so that the upper branches did not come down and swat the Jeep when pulling). The first one was 2" at the base. The one further to the right, in front of Bantam trailer, was 3" at the base. The 2" one pulled out relatively easily. When tight, the rear squatted a little, but there was no tire spin, and the tree popped out. The chain did not slide up the trunk at all. The 3" tree proved more difficult. The rear squatted even more, the tires started spinning, but no luck, even when turning on e-locker in front. (the rear Tru-Trac was spinning both). I had to cut one of the side roots with mattock before it came loose. This is the root ball it pulled out. No wonder it is hard to pull, there are a lot of roots below the surface. Again the chain did not slip at all. I am happy with how it worked. I pulled out another 6 trees later in the day. All were 2" or so. (did not measure those). 8 down, 50+ to go, Also cut up a dead tree that had fallen across the intended trail. This is first load of firewood. |

What brand bikini top do you have on the top of your jeep? That's a good looking Jeep. Thanks, Mark

I have had Wilson over 30 years. Shortly after I got it, I bought that top. It is Kayline brand. It has held up very well for all these years. I don't think they are available any more. I wish they were, I would buy a spare, in case this ever does wear out.

Had the Jeep and trailer out today collecting up mulched leaves. 4 loads later, we were finished for today. Also installed my plow frame, pump, and wiring yesterday - ready for the snow. |
